A Destination

A quintessential summer stop-over, the Clam Bar at Napeague opened its flaps more than thirty years ago. Not much has changed during that time. It is still the laid-back, roadside shack pumping out great rock and roll, ice cold beer, and even colder clams.

Think you've had the freshest seafood out there? Was your last lobster at the bottom of the ocean two hours before you ate it?

At the Clam Bar, our lobsters are locally fished and landed by the lobster boat Miste Rose, docked in Montauk. We order them while the boat is at sea and Montauk's finest crustaceans are at our doorstep that afternoon.

Pick a size! Ace and Chuck have landed just what you like and are holding it on ice.

Montauk's very own 'Pearl' oysters are delivered daily straight from the farm beds of Lake Montauk. Mike and Mike of Montauk Shellfish have carefully seeded and bred their medium sized, briney beauties that we sell by the half dozen, but that you'll want to eat by the dozen.

All these local treats, along with all our other seafood staples are available to eat under a yellow umbrella with us on Napeague, or, take them with you and picnic on the beach or in your back yard.
